Labour MEP Professor Edward Scicluna regularly holds public meetings to discuss various issues related to the European Parliament. During this meeting ‘Ejja u Staqsi’ in Birkirkara on the 17th May, Prof. Scicluna spokeabout various topics of interest including the ‘Special Purpose Vehicle, and how this mechanism might be included as national debt in future. He also spoke about his recent nomination as the sole representative of the European Parliament on the Board of Eurostat to give his advice on statistics of the European Union. Prof. Scicluna also answered a number of questions put forward bymembers of the public, mainly on pensions, losses of investment after the Greece crisis, the national debt and the deficit.
