Labour MEP Professor Edward Scicluna attended the feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord in Lija last Monday 6th August. He visited the Lija Parish Church and joined the procession. He had the opportunity to visit the clubs and societies in Lija and had the pleasure to meet their committees and members and the people celebrating the feast. Professor Scicluna had words of praise for the spectacular and colourful fireworks displays which were displayed throughout the evening.
Il-Festa tas-Salvatur – Ħal-Lija
L-Ewroparlamentari Laburista il-Professur Edward Scicluna attenda il-funzjoni reliġjuża u l-purċissjoni tal-festa popolari tas-Salvatur f’Ħal-Lija nhar it-Tnejn 6 ta’ Awissu. Waqt din iż-żjara huwa ħa pjaċir ħafna jżur l-Għaqdiet u s-Soċjetajiet ta’ Ħal-Lija u jiltaqa’ mal-Kumitati u membri tagħhom kif ukoll maċ-ċittadini numerużi li attendew għall-festa. Il-Prof Scicluna ammira ħafna l-logħob tan-nar spettakulari u kulurit li ġie maħruq tul il-festa.
