In this ‘L-MEP u INT’ programme Labour MEP Professor Edward Scicluna speaks about the Government’s and the EU’s own responsibilities to ensure accountability with regards to public finances. He explains that a government needs the necessary finances to function well. He said that every year the Auditor General report reveals many instances of the misuse and wastage of public finances. Professor Edward Scicluna notes that unfortunately these abuses are becoming repeatedly common and speaks about the Government’s responsability with regards to public finances. He also speaks about the European Union and how it manages its budget.
