‘Kif wiegħed il-mexxej Laburista Joseph Muscat, gvern Laburista ġdid iżomm il-qafas tal-baġit li jkun tressaq minn gvern Nazzjonalista basta dan jitqies bħala li huwa sostenibbli mill-Unjoni Ewropea’.

Dan qalu l-Ewroparlamentari Laburista u kandidat għall- 5 u t-8 distrett il-Professur Edward Scicluna nhar il-Ħamis 22 ta’ Novembru fil-programm ta’ diskussjoni ‘It-Tokk’ fuq One Radio. Il-Professur Scicluna wieġeb numru ta’ mistoqsijiet li sarulu mill-preżentatur tal-programm Paul Mifsud fuq l-approvazzjoni tan-nomina ta’ Tonio Borg bħala Kummissarju Ewropew, dwar in-negozjati iebsin li għaddejjin fuq il-baġit Ewropew għas-seba’ snin li ġejjin u fuq il-baġit li ser jitressaq f’Malta. Huwa wieġeb ukoll numru ta’ mistoqsijiet li sarulu mis-semmiegħa tal-programm.

‘As promised by Labour Party Leader Joseph Muscat a new Labour Government would retain the general framework of the budget presented by the Nationalist Government as long as it is considered sustainable by the European Union.’

This was stated by Labour MEP and candidate for the 5th and 8th district Professor Edward Scicluna on Thursday 22nd November on One radio discussion programme ‘It-Tokk’ presented by Paul Mifsud. Professor Scicluna also spoke about the approval of Tonio Borg’s nomination as the new European Commissioner, the challenging negotiations in preparation for the European budget, and the upcoming Malta Budget. Professor Scicluna also answered several questions put to him by the listeners.
