Prime Minister Joseph Muscat met the Board of Directors and the Chief Executive Officer of the Malta Development Bank (MDB) in the presence of the Minister for Finance Edward Scicluna, Prime Minister’s advisor Louis Grech and Chief of Staff Keith Schembri at Castille. During the meeting, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance role of the MDB in this stage of Malta’s economic development. The Bank’s role is primarily to address market failures by offering financing facilities to support productive and viable operations when and where the market is unwilling or unable to accommodate them.
