Professor Edward Scicluna MEP participated in a seminar entitled ‘The Democratic Process in the Mediterranean and the Middle East’ organised by the local Association of Former Members of Parliament on Friday 2nd March. The seminar, held at the Committee Room of the Parliament of Malta, was held under the auspices of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Honourable Michael Frendo, who delivered a keynote address for the occasion. Dr Simon Busuttil MEP also participated.

The discussion evolved around the present turbulent and tense scenario in the Mediterranean region and beyond. The proceedings of the discussion will contribute towards the  formulation of a working document during a European colloquium to be held in Malta in November by the European Association of former MPs.
