Prof Edward Scicluna continues with his Public Discussions series

Labour MEP Prof Edward Scicluna continued with his series of Public Discussions, themed EJJA U STAQSI, on Friday, May 20, 2011, at Il Cortile, Naxxar. The event, the ninth of the series, was earmarked for residents from the Eight Electoral District.

After a short introductory speech, Prof Scicluna dealt with topics brought up by questions from the floor. Topics discussed concerned Prof Scicluna’s role in the European Parliament; the Maltese economy; Euro Zone and its ongoings; the differences between Nordic and Mediterranean countries within the EU; the Six Pack Economic Governance being discussed with the EU’s institutions and what this might mean for the workers, pensioners and unions.
