“I encourage our youths to actively engage in a non-governmental organisations and ideally further their studies abroad to acquire the necessary skills of life and overcome local barriers”, stated Minister for Finance Edward Scicluna while addressing the leaders of NGOs and heads of school involved in non-formal training of our youths.

The one day event was hosted by the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award and organised by the Voluntary Organisations Project Scheme of the Ministry for Education.
Minister Scicluna concluded his address by praising the good work carried out by NGOs in this sector and stating that youths who are exposed to such experiences are observed to have more self-confidence, to find it easier to participate in groups, and to be knowledgeable and better prepared to face the challenges that life offers.
